Integrated Philips Capsule with Epic to automate bedside device data flow, reduce manual entry risk, and strengthen interoperability and reporting accuracy—while supporting the Epic Hyperdrive transition.

Challenge

Manual vitals documentation risked inaccuracy. Disparate integrations reduced reliability and downstream data consistency, while Hyperdrive modernization introduced parallel testing demands.

Approach

Coordinated device and BI teams to unify workflows and mappings. Implemented FHIR-based integrations, validated Capsule server configurations, led OnBase Web Viewer validation for Hyperdrive, and created testing templates with analyst training for sustainable support.
